Year 4 went to Rowhill Copse to see the Blackwater River. We walked to the large nature reserve and explored the wonderful forest with two tour guides. They taught us a lot about the nature reserve and the river. While there, we identified lots of features of rivers like, the source, what a meander is and about tributaries, and we also did some tests where we poured dye in to the river and timed the flow and how muddy each bank was. We had a brilliant time and hope to go there again.
