Year 3
This term, Year 3 are learning about 'Stone Age' and 'Bronze Age'. We went outside to create our own Stone Age Cave Paintings! We made our own natural paints using mud, water and berries (blackberries were the best!). Take a look at some of our Cave Paintings below:
Year 4
This half term, Year 4 have been learning about the Egyptians. We went outside to created our own natural papers - inspired by the Egyptian's creation of Papyrus. We used recycled paper from school, leaves, grass, flowers and other natural materials. By layering the natural materials and paper, we were able to build layers which will then be pressed (like a pressed flower) to create our paper!
Year 5
This half term, Year 5 have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons & Vikings.
Year 6
This half term, Year 6 have been learning about Australia & Oceania. We discussed the use of Aboriginal Art, it's origins and characteristics (lots of dots!). Then, we had a go at creating our own Playground Aboriginal Art using multi-coloured chalk. Have a look at some of our designs below:
