Head Teacher Welcome

Welcome to Wellington Community Primary School!

We trust that you find your visit to our school website informative and fun, giving an insight into what we are all about! We are a two form entry primary school with 416 pupils on roll, aged 4 to 11 years of age. We are a popular school with an excellent reputation in the local and wider community. In November 2018, Ofsted judged that Wellington Community Primary School is an 'Outstanding' school and judged it so in all key areas.

Standards are high and children make rapid and sustained progress in all areas of their learning, across the entire curriculum. As you navigate through our website you will see that we offer a wide range of extra curricular activities and after school clubs, catering for a range of ages and interests across the school, particularly those which allow us to learn and apply skills in collaborative work and competition with other schools, including in; a range of sports, dance and music. Children have plentiful opportunities to participate in sporting fixtures and musical provision. Regular visits and visitors provide many embellishments to teaching and learning, and the curriculum.

We are a very open school with a community feel, valuing the ways in which we communicate with our parents and families. Not only of what is going on at school, but also our strengths, and areas of development, so that we can all work together to give our children and community the best opportunities possible.  The school is very welcoming and diverse, the staff are very dedicated, the parents, families and community are supportive, and the children, the heart of our school, are fantastic, demonstrating excellent attitudes and behaviours to their learning, and a pride in their many opportunities and achievements.

Our motto is very clear, 'Together for Excellence', all working together to realise an excellence in the all round education afforded in preparing children for learning the skills which give them their own aspirations, interests and options in life. We work very well with other schools across Aldershot and Hampshire to share best practice and continually develop what we provide as a school.

Whether you are an existing parent, or prospective parent looking to enrol your child in our school, please organise a time to come and have a look at our learning in action. We are always happy to show people first hand why we are so proud of our school.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find any information you are looking for. If required, paper copies of all the information on our website can be made available upon request and please do feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have.
