The above table shows the % of children who achieved a 'Good Level of Development' by the end of their first year at school, working at the milestones typically expected of them by the end of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS/Year R).

The above table shows the % of children in Year 1 who achieved the expected nation standards, or beyond, in the end of Year 1 phonics screening. In addition to the above, children in Year 2, who failed to reach the standard in Year 1, or who have not previously sat the test, do so in Year 2. By the end of Year 2, 97% of children met the standard. For those children who took their phonics in Year 2, 85% achieved the expected standard against 64% nationally in 2017.
